About Sparks
On the third Friday before any election, with online registration available through 11 days before and in-person registration through the Friday before Election Day. A valid Nebraska driver's license or state ID number is required. Since Sparks has no municipal government, residents participate only in county, state, and federal elections. Cherry County voters elect three County Commissioners, County Clerk, County Treasurer, County Sheriff, County Attorney, Register of Deeds, County Assessor, and other constitutional offices on staggered schedules. Voters can locate their assigned polling place by contacting the Cherry County Clerk or checking online at https://www.votercheck.necvr.ne.gov/. Nebraska public election records include voter registration lists available for purchase by candidates and political committees, campaign finance reports filed with the Nebraska Accountability and Disclosure Commission at https://nadc.nebraska.S. Nebraska voters approved early voting in 2024, allowing registered voters to cast ballots in person at the Cherry County Clerk's office beginning 30 days before Election Day. Mail-in and absentee ballots are available upon request to the Cherry County Clerk, with applications due by 6:00 p.m. The second Friday before Election Day and completed ballots required by the close of polls on Election Day.
