Residents can register to vote online at https://voterreg.dmv.ny.gov/MotorVoter or by submitting a New York State Voter Registration Form (available at https://www.elections.ny.gov) by mail or in person at the Board office or any NYS DMV office. Registration must be completed 25 days before any election, as New York does not offer same-day registration. Applicants must provide their name, date of birth, New York driver license or non-driver ID number, and the last four digits of their Social Security number. As an unincorporated community within the Town of Tuxedo, the area has no municipal elections for mayor or city council. No U.S. Absentee ballots in New York are available to any registered voter without requiring an excuse. Applications must be submitted to the Orange County Board of Elections by mail (received by the day before Election Day), in person (by the day before Election Day), or online at https://absenteeballot.elections.ny.gov at least 10 days before the election for mail delivery of the ballot. Completed absentee ballots must be postmarked by Election Day and received within seven days after the election. Early voting is available at designated sites announced by the Board for nine days preceding Election Day.
