Sheriff & Law Enforcement. Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement in the unincorporated areas of Berkeley County. The office is also involved in community policing efforts and operates specialized units such as the K-9 unit and drug task force.
Police Departments. Berkeley County is served by several law enforcement agencies, including Berkeley County Sheriff's Office and municipal police departments such as the Martinsburg Police Department and the Hedgesville Police Department.
Law Enforcement & Arrests. Berkeley County Sheriff's Office is the primary law enforcement agency for unincorporated areas of Berkeley County, with headquarters located at 400 West Stephen Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401. Within Berkeley County, municipal police departments include the Martinsburg Police Department at 149 East Martin Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401, which serves the city of Martinsburg, and smaller municipal forces may serve other incorporated areas.

Booking photos are kept by the agency that made the arrest, such as the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office or a city police department in Berkeley County. Ask that agency for its record. Under W. Va. Code 62-1-6a a state, county or city law enforcement agency may not share on social media the booking photograph of a person arrested for a minor offense unless the person is convicted, is a fugitive or threat, or a court orders it, and it must take a posted booking photograph down within 14 days on request after a dismissal, no indictment or an acquittal. The Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation is not covered by that section.
