Sheriff & Law Enforcement. Christian County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement in the unincorporated areas of Christian County.
Police Departments. Christian County is served by several law enforcement agencies, including Christian County Sheriff's Office and municipal police departments such as the Hopkinsville Police Department and the Oak Grove Police Department.
Law Enforcement & Arrests. Christian County Sheriff's Office, located at 701 South Main Street in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, is the primary law enforcement agency for unincorporated areas of Christian County. Christian County Justice Center, Christian County's detention facility located at 1564 Canton Road in Hopkinsville, houses inmates awaiting trial and those serving sentences. Response time for records requests must comply with KRS 61.880, which requires agencies to respond within three business days. Some records may be exempt from disclosure under specific circumstances outlined in KRS 61.878, including ongoing investigations or records that would constitute an invasion of personal privacy.
