Sheriff & Law Enforcement. Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement services across Hennepin County, particularly in areas without local police departments.
Police Departments. Hennepin County is served by several law enforcement agencies, including Hennepin County Sheriff's Office and numerous municipal police departments.
Law Enforcement & Arrests. Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is the primary law enforcement agency for unincorporated areas and provides countywide services including operating Hennepin County Adult Detention Center, court security, and civil process service. Hennepin County Jail inmate lookup system is available online through the Sheriff's Office website at Minneapolis area.us/jailroster, providing real-time information on current inmates including booking dates, charges, bond amounts, and projected release dates. Hennepin County contains numerous municipal police departments including Minneapolis Police Department, Bloomington Police, Brooklyn Park Police, Eden Prairie Police, Edina Police, Minnetonka Police, Plymouth Police, Richfield Police, St. Louis Park Police, and Golden Valley Police, among others serving Hennepin County's 45 incorporated cities.
