Sheriff & Law Enforcement. Jessamine County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement in the unincorporated areas of Jessamine County.
Police Departments. Jessamine County is served by several law enforcement agencies, including Jessamine County Sheriff's Office and the Nicholasville Police Department. The Nicholasville Police Department handles law enforcement within the city limits of Nicholasville, while the Sheriff's Office covers the unincorporated areas.
Law Enforcement & Arrests. Jessamine County Sheriff's Office, headquartered at 200 South Main Street in Nicholasville, is the primary law enforcement agency for unincorporated areas of Jessamine County and operates Jessamine County Detention Center. The Kentucky State Police Post 7 in Richmond also has jurisdiction throughout Jessamine County for state highway enforcement and major investigations.
