Sheriff & Law Enforcement. Laurel County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement in the unincorporated areas of Laurel County.
Police Departments. Law enforcement in Laurel County is provided by Laurel County Sheriff's Office and the London Police Department.
Law Enforcement & Arrests. Laurel County Sheriff's Office, headed by Sheriff John Root, maintains its headquarters at 205 West 4th Street, London, KY 40741, and operates Laurel County Detention Center at the same location. Within Laurel County, the London Police Department serves the county seat, operating from 220 West 5th Street, London, KY 40741, handling municipal law enforcement matters within city limits.
