Sheriff & Law Enforcement. Pulaski County Sheriff's Office is responsible for law enforcement in the unincorporated areas of Pulaski County.
Police Departments. In addition to Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement in Pulaski County is provided by several municipal police departments, including the Somerset Police Department and the Burnside Police Department.
Law Enforcement & Arrests. Pulaski County Sheriff's Office, led by an elected sheriff, provides primary law enforcement services throughout unincorporated areas of Pulaski County and operates Pulaski County Detention Center.
Criminal Records. Residents can conduct background checks through the Kentucky Court of Justice's online portal or by contacting the Kentucky State Police for a more full criminal history report.
Arrest Records. Arrest records in Pulaski County are maintained by Pulaski County Sheriff's Office and local police departments.

Register with the county clerk or through the Kentucky State Board of Elections. You can also register online with the state online registration. Registration books close on the fourth Tuesday before an election (KRS 116.045(2)); for the 2026 general election the last day to register was Monday, October 5, with online registrations due by 4:00 PM local time.
