California residents can register to vote online at registertovote.ca.gov, the Secretary of State's secure portal, or by completing paper forms available at libraries, DMV offices, and the Registrar's office. The standard registration deadline is 15 days before any election, though California also offers conditional voter registration during the 14-day period before Election Day and on Election Day itself at designated locations.
