Kentucky dissolutions are heard in Circuit Court, by its Family Court division where one exists, and the Office of Circuit Court Clerk in the county of the decree keeps the file. No statute or rule found closes the file. Under Family Court Rule 2(3) the preliminary verified disclosure, AOC-238, is exchanged between the spouses and not filed unless the court or a local rule requires it; the final verified disclosure, AOC-239, is filed before a property trial under Rule 3(3) unless the parties file an affidavit of no changes instead, and nothing found makes it confidential. The decree and any settlement agreement are in the file as well.

The Court of Justice's free Find a Case search gives public case information statewide, and CourtNet 2.0, a subscription for attorneys, shows case details and images of eFilings, with sealed cases excluded and certain documents designated as protected images visible only to the parties.
