Missouri residents have three options for registering to vote: online at https://www.sos.mo.gov/elections/goVoteMissouri, by mail using a voter registration application, or in person at the Election Board office or any Missouri license office. Registration must be completed by the fourth Wednesday before any election. Missouri law, specifically Chapter 115 RSMo, designates certain election records as public, including voter registration lists available for purchase for election purposes, campaign finance reports filed with the Missouri Ethics Commission at https://mec.mo.gov, candidate filing information, precinct-level results, and certified outcomes. Clay County demonstrated civic participation in the November 2024 presidential election, with approximately 133,000 registered voters and turnout exceeding 72 percent, numbers that reflect the suburban county's political engagement. While Missouri has no U.S. Senate seat on the ballot that year, residents will vote for all Missouri House of Representatives seats, which carry two-year terms, and half of the Missouri State Senate seats with four-year terms.
