Peralta, New Mexico Public Records

Registration must be completed 28 days before any election. Online registration requires a driver's license number, state ID number, or the last four digits of a Social Security number. Same-day voter registration is available during early voting and on Election Day at polling places. As an unincorporated community, Peralta does not hold municipal elections for mayor or city council. Instead, residents vote in Valencia County Commission elections. In the November 2024 presidential election, Valencia County reported voter turnout of approximately 68%, with over 35,000 ballots cast out of roughly 52,000 registered voters. County positions including Sheriff, County Clerk, Assessor, Treasurer, and Probate Judge will also be on the ballot, as these offices are elected in gubernatorial election years.
