Sheriff & Law Enforcement. Casey County Sheriff's Office is responsible for maintaining law and order throughout Casey County, particularly in the unincorporated areas.
Police Departments. In addition to Casey County Sheriff's Office, law enforcement in Casey County is supported by the Liberty Police Department, which serves the city of Liberty. The Liberty Police Department is responsible for maintaining public safety within the city limits, handling local crime, and collaborating with the Sheriff's Office on larger investigations.
Law Enforcement & Arrests. Casey County Sheriff's Office, headquartered at 238 Middleburg Street in Liberty, Kentucky 42539, is the primary law enforcement agency for unincorporated areas of Casey County. Casey County Detention Center, located adjacent to the Sheriff's Office, houses pre-trial detainees and sentenced misdemeanants.

Register with the county clerk or through the Kentucky State Board of Elections. You can also register online with the state online registration. Registration books close on the fourth Tuesday before an election (KRS 116.045(2)); for the 2026 general election the last day to register was Monday, October 5, with online registrations due by 4:00 PM local time.
